“I wanted to move up a level”

“A month before the end of the Championship, I had contacts with Lens’ sporting director, with whom I was able to exchange. I then discussed it with my agent, and the option of Lens was clearly the one that resembled me the most. I wanted to move up a level, so Ligue 1 was perfect, in a European and family club, which resembles those I have known, it was ideal,” Morgan Guilavogui explained to France 3.

Openda? “It doesn’t put pressure on me”

And regarding the succession of Loïs Openda, the new striker for RC Lens added: “It’s true that Openda had a great season, but it doesn’t put pressure on me. If they recruited me, it means they have confidence in me. (…) We are starting to get to know each other a bit, playing together as attackers to build automatism, with players of such quality, it’s quite easy to understand each other.”
