If, officially, the pre-production of “Bond 26” has not yet begun, it seems that things are starting to move. At least that’s what some British newspapers indicate.
According to the “Daily Mail,” the “Daily Express,” and the “Irish Mirror,” three actresses would be the favorites of the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson to become the next Bond Girl. Who will stand out?
The actress Jodie Comer, 30, would be the favorite. Highly appreciated in the series “Killing Eve,” she won a Primetime Emmy Award for her portrayal of the sociopathic assassin Villanelle.
Michelle Keegan, 36, an actress in another series, “Fool Me Once,” would follow.
Then the Irish actress Saoirse Ronan, 29, who received an Oscar nomination for her role in the film “Atonement.”
However, it should be noted that British media are not always completely reliable. In the past, a few fanciful names had circulated before the female cast of the “Bond” in progress was officially announced.
Regarding the succession of Daniel Craig, it is still Aaron Taylor-Johnson who would be the top favorite. The actor seen in “Bullet Train” reportedly did extremely convincing tests last September.
