Many of you have probably noticed his absence on Monday morning when Gino Chouinard was not hosting Salut Bonjour and his place was taken by web columnist Mathieu Roy.

We assume that this last-minute absence posed some challenges for the production team of the most watched morning show in the province, particularly in terms of logistical management of the hosting.
However, everything went smoothly, and Mathieu Roy did an excellent job as a replacement.
On Monday evening, Gino Chouinard spoke up on his social media to give updates and explain the reasons for his absence. He revealed that he had indeed tested positive for COVID-19, accompanying this announcement with a photo of his test results.
Furthermore, not only did the host, who is entering his last year at the helm of Salut Bonjour, have to be absent on Monday, but he will also be absent from the set on Tuesday. Optimistic, he hopes to resume hosting the show on Wednesday morning, provided, of course, that he tests negative, as the virus continues to spread with the changing season.
We wish him a speedy recovery and hope that he can fully take advantage of these forced “vacations” to rest.
