La raison invoquée pour l’annulation du briefing prévu du panel de la Chambre sur le récent accord entre ABS-CBN et TV5 était très simple: la paperasserie.
Le représentant du 2e district de Parañaque City, Gus Tambunting, président du Comité des franchises législatives – le panel qui était censé accueillir le briefing – a admis avoir retiré ce point particulier de l’ordre du jour du comité le jeudi 18 août afin de consolider correctement les demandes de collègues membres du Congrès pour s’attaquer au partenariat à deux réseaux.
Consolider d’abord les demandes d’information, voire d’enquête complète au profit de la législation, éviterait à son comité la peine de se passer éventuellement de l’accord ABS-CBN et TV5 plus d’une fois. Et à cause de la prochaine saison budgétaire, le temps presse toujours pour les solons.
Tambunting a promis que le panel finirait par discuter de l’accord, mais ne peut pas dire exactement quand.
Il reste à voir ce que le représentant de la liste du parti SAGIP, Rodante Marcoleta, a à dire sur ce “retard” dans la résolution de son problème préféré.
Ailleurs, sur une question plus proche de l’estomac des Philippins, l’Association philippine des propriétaires de magasins et de Carinderia (PASCO) a révélé qu’ils avaient connu un approvisionnement limité en boissons gazeuses et autres boissons au cours des dernières semaines.
Selon les membres de PASCO, la pénurie de sucre dans le pays a entraîné une pénurie de sodas et de boissons similaires, réduisant ainsi leurs opportunités de revenus.
PASCO a appelé les autorités concernées à résoudre immédiatement la situation de l’approvisionnement en sucre et, espérons-le, à renforcer leurs moyens de subsistance.
