Projet de promotion de la construction durable et respectueuse de l’environnement au Sénégal

Ecological and sustainable constructions are becoming more and more of a trend that is emerging all over the world, especially with global warming that has raised temperatures to unprecedented levels.

We speak of ecological construction when a dwelling or a building does not harm the environment or biodiversity, and therefore they have the advantage of being more environmentally friendly and contribute to the preservation of natural resources.

This is how the Ministry of Urbanism, Housing and Public Hygiene, in partnership with UN-Habitat and the United Nations Environment Program, opened on July 18th a workshop to launch the project “transforming the built environment through sustainable materials.”

This workshop, which brought together all private and public actors in construction and building in Senegal, state agencies and international organizations, aims to present this project (transforming the built environment through sustainable materials) in order to build a roadmap to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly construction in the country…
