Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. is a holding company. The company’s primary business is vehicle rental, primarily through its Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty brands. The company operates through two segments: Americas RAC and International RAC. The Americas RAC segment provides vehicle rental, as well as the sale of vehicles and value-added services, in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean, and also has franchisees and partners operating rental facilities under its brands. The International RAC segment offers vehicle rental and leasing, as well as the sale of value-added services in locations other than the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. It operates its vehicle rental business globally from approximately 11,600 company-operated and franchisee locations in about 160 countries and territories, including North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and New Zealand.
