Oris is a specialist watchmaker since the 1940s in pilot watches. Among the essential models for aviators, the GMT versions which allow the display of two times (in whole hours) on a single dial.
This is the case with this new Oris ProPilot GMT where the second time zone is indicated by a central hand with a red pointer.
As for the pulsometric scale on the bezel, it allows for measuring heart rate and is inspired by Oris’ relationships with some of the aeromedical organizations.
The case of this watch is 41.5mm. In steel, it features a matte grey PVD finish that reduces sunlight reflections and cockpit glare, while the hands and applied indexes stand out on the highly contrasted red gradient dial. The whole is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the inside.
This watch is powered by a mechanical self-winding movement with a standard power reserve of 42 hours (visible through the transparent case back).
It is mounted on a black textile strap lined with red leather and equipped with Oris’ patented “Lift” clasp, inspired by the seat belts of commercial airplanes.
