Yesterday, there was a large crowd for the official launch of the European Roller Championships around the Valence d’Agen roller rink. The competition begins today and will end on July 23.
No tricolor ribbon to officially inaugurate the opening of the competition, but a colorful spectacle with the parade of the 17 participating nations in these European championships and the 280 skaters who will compete throughout the week.

The final word went to Jean-Paul Terrenne, 1st Vice-President of the community of municipalities. “I am very proud, on behalf of President Jean-Michel Baylet, to welcome you to this prestigious competition. Seeing all this youth in this complicated period is really good for us. The community of municipalities and the town have joined forces to welcome you in the best conditions. The president of the European Roller Federation officially declared these European Championships open. The races start today with a busy and varied program.
