The director of the famous theater, Frédéric Biessy, is teaming up with the stand-up comedian to launch a private training dedicated to humor in the fall of 2024. An opportunity to question the lack of openness in public drama schools to this booming creative field.

It’s the story of a self-taught guy who became a successful comedian and now wants to pass on his knowledge. Jérémy Ferrari stands in front of a crowd of professionals and journalists, insisting he is “sincere.” “Sincere,” repeats Jérémy Ferrari, “it’s not about making students believe they will all be stars when they leave school,” it’s not about “making them believe that you can learn to be funny,” but rather about “teaching them to recognize when they are, “helping them find their writing style, but also understanding the issues of production, distribution, media relations, rhetoric, press monitoring, in short, understanding a profession. Jérémy Ferrari feels well placed to reflect on what an ideal training could be: he “hates school” and has not attended any. “I dropped out of school in first grade. At 18, I worked part-time twenty hours a week to pay for courses at the Florent School, which I dropped out of after a year and a half, mainly because I found it too expensive for the number of hours – nine hours a week for 350 euros per month.
