Le Camji, the contemporary music venue in Niort, is offering a folk evening on Saturday, March 2, 2024, starting at 8:30 pm, with prices ranging from between €18 and €22: on the menu for the first part, The Amber Day in a trio formation while they are usually a quintet, founded in 2020.
Led by their American singer Rachel Baum, from Louisiana, the Poitou group is on tour to present their first album of thirteen tracks, Our Stories, released in the fall of 2023, mixing folk-bluegrass melodies with pop sounds.
Albums and Hits Aplenty for Talisco
On the return of the Grand Bain festival in Brest, in Finistère, Jérôme Amandi, also known as Talisco, will follow in the footsteps of The Amber Day: best known since 2013 for his hits Your Wish and The Keys, before the track Sun in 2018, the Bordeaux-based singer-songwriter, influenced by spaghetti westerns, moves between indie-electro, folk, and trip-hop.
Talisco of Spanish origin through his parents, has released four studio albums, not to mention a symphonic album in addition to another delivery in which he revisited ten of his singles: the latest, called Cinematic, explores his musical roots with, for the first time, songs in French, including the single It’s here. On this tour, the guitarist turned Parisian is accompanied on stage by Thomas Pirot on bass and Gautier Vexlard on drums.
