Fans will lament the absence of Natalie Portman, who plays astrophysicist Jane Foster in the first, second, and fourth films of the saga. For a long time, rumors suggested that the actress no longer wanted to play in Marvel films. Kevin Feige, the head of the studios, attempted to give an explanation in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2017. He mentions “many reasons” for this absence, especially the fact that the film takes place very little on Earth and focuses on the relationship between Valkyrie and the Norse god: “We wanted Thor to meet someone who would be more his equal, and for his relationship with Jane to have evolved unexpectedly between Thor 2: The Dark World and Thor 3: Ragnarok.”

An entertaining movie, fun to watch. Action-packed and a bit funny. Less disappointing than the last 2. The moment when the Grandmaster looks at Loki because he’s in love, and also the moment of the song that says it’s my birthday. That’s a good movie.

ENORMOUS! Gives a new tone to superhero movies, Thor 3 combines the plot of the previous two Thors with a large dose of unexpected and very refreshing humor and self-derision. Innovative, hilarious, and very well done. A must-see.
