Sony reassures about the future of the accessory: for now, sales are higher than those of the first model.
Launched last February, Sony’s virtual reality headset sold better than its predecessor in the six weeks following its launch.
600,000 units of the PSVR 2 have reportedly been sold in stores, representing an 8% increase in sales.
So we are far from the catastrophe announced in the media a few months ago. Nevertheless, it is difficult to see it as a big success, insofar as the PSVR 2 can easily be found in stores today, and sales targets were certainly higher than for the first model.
Sony reassures about its future: several big games are expected, including Beat Saber, Resident Evil 4, Ghostbusters, Behemoth and Crossfire Sierra Squad. The Japanese giant is also expected to unveil a handful of new PSVR 2 games tonight at its PlayStation Showcase.
