La star du handball de Seán MacCumhaill, Avril McNamee, a remporté le titre européen du One Wall Dutch Open aux Pays-Bas ce week-end, ajoutant ainsi un autre exploit illustre à sa carrière déjà impressionnante.
La championne de handball avait déjà gravé son nom dans l’histoire en remportant le titre mondial en 2018 au Minnesota, où elle avait triomphé d’Ellen O’Connor de Kildare dans un match âprement disputé.
Ce qui distingue la récente victoire de McNamee, c’est le fait extraordinaire que le championnat néerlandais marquait sa première compétition en cinq ans.
