The 47-year-old Slovenian-Swiss peppers his sketches with shocking remarks, without sparking controversies on the level of those that affected Guillaume Meurice. Portrait of a comedian in the service of his boss’s far-right ideology.

Not holding a grudge, Sonia Mabrouk tried to convince Gaspard Proust to answer our questions. Without success. The comedian reminded his colleague from the morning show on Europe 1 that she herself had agreed to meet with Libération for a profile in 2021. And “cynical” by nature, with “provocation” as his main engine, but always assailed by “doubt.” And a “sensitive soul , lover of good food and fine wines, fleeing the bustle of Paris in “his chalet on the heights of Chamonix” from which he descends three days a week for work, with classical music blasting in his headphones. And when he shows up, almost accidentally, at a few social events, he’s not there to liven things up. Gabriel Attal, then Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts, found himself at a dinner with the comedian, who was a business banker in Switzerland before taking to the stage. “He talked to me about interest rates and other technical stuff, I felt like I was facing a treasury director.”
