Arabie Saoudite : Escalade avec l’Iran après les attaques

Saudi Arabia Warns of Escalation as Tensions with Iran Rise

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia has signaled growing impatience with repeated Iranian attacks, warning that further strikes will lead to significant escalation and jeopardize relations between the two nations. The announcement comes as tensions in the region continue to mount following the start of the 2026 Iran war, triggered by US and Israeli military action against Iran on February 28th.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated that additional attacks would have “significant consequences” for both current and future relations, according to reports from The Times of Israel and The New York Times.

In a further sign of escalating tensions, Saudi Arabia has ordered Iran’s military attaché and four other embassy staff to leave the country, The Times of Israel reported. Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Foreign Minister, has stated Saudi Arabia is prepared to take military action if necessary, according to The New York Times.

This move follows waves of missile and drone attacks originating from Iran, targeting locations across Saudi Arabia. The strikes underscore a worrying trend of regional instability, prompting concerns about a wider conflict.

Analysts suggest the Iranian attacks are pushing Arab states in the Gulf toward greater unity and potential collective action against Tehran, as reported by The Jerusalem Post. The situation remains fluid, with the potential for further escalation a significant concern for international observers.
