New Shopping and Leisure Complex Opens Near Madrid, Boosting Toledo Region

Illescas, Spain – A new commercial and leisure park, Señorío Plaza, officially opened its doors today, March 12th, in Illescas, a town located approximately 30 minutes south of Madrid. The opening, which extends through March 15th, marks a significant development for the Toledo province, promising a boost to the local economy and expanded options for residents and visitors.

The 90,000 square meter complex, developed in response to the growing population of towns near Madrid seeking more affordable housing options, features over 30 shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The influx of new residents to Illescas has driven the need for increased services, culminating in the creation of Señorío Plaza.

The inauguration began with a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:00 am. Celebrations continued throughout the day with live music near the food truck area, starting around 9:00 pm. Friday, March 13th, will also feature live music at the same time and location, alongside street performances at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Weekend activities are geared towards families, with face painting, a magic carousel, and “Cantajuegos” entertainment scheduled between noon and 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 14th. A DJ set will take place in the food truck area from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, followed by a karaoke night. The festivities conclude on Sunday, March 15th, with a puppet show at 1:00 pm.

Señorío Plaza boasts a diverse range of retailers, including Alcampo (hypermarket and gas station), Lidl, Fitness Park, Sprinter, Kiabi, Joma, Action, JYSK, Max Colchón, Dormity, Homa, Cines Odeon, Vips, McDonald’s, 100 Montaditos, Kiwoko, Feu Vert, Toy Planet, Soloptical, Magic Waho, BowlingCo, Churrería Emma Fernández, Anubis, Bermellón, Newyorkers Café, Maki Toki, Factory Sofás, and Kebabish.
