Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa acknowledged the situation Sunday, stating the club’s priority is Mbappé’s full recovery. “What we want now is for him to recover from his pain so that he can return at 100%, with confidence and the greatest possible security when he is fully recovered and these pains have disappeared,” Arbeloa said. He indicated the absence could last “several days” or “several weeks.”
The timing of the injury is particularly concerning with Real Madrid facing Manchester City in the Champions League round of 16 later this month.
