Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain – A winning ticket in the “El Millón” supplementary prize of the Euromillones lottery has been validated in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, officials announced Friday. The lucky ticket, number 89.405, was sold at a lottery retailer located at 1 Martín de Salinas Street, in the Zaramaga neighborhood.
The win comes as the overall Euromillones jackpot continues to grow. No winners were drawn in the top-tier category (5 numbers + 2 stars) during this week’s draw, pushing the potential prize for the next draw to an estimated €209 million.
Five winners across Europe matched five numbers plus one star, each receiving a prize of €233,193.49. One of these winning tickets was sold in Spain, specifically at administration number 5 in Mislata, Valencia.
The total revenue generated from Friday’s draw reached €89,346,164.60, according to Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, Spain’s state-owned lottery operator.
