Zhipu : envolée à Hong Kong et potentiel de croissance

Zhipu AI Gains Momentum After Hong Kong IPO, GLM-5 Launch

HONG KONG – Chinese artificial intelligence startup Zhipu AI is attracting attention after a successful Hong Kong initial public offering in January and the subsequent release of its new flagship model, GLM-5, in February. The company raised approximately HKD 4.35 billion (USD $558 million) in the IPO, funds that have directly fueled the development of GLM-5.

The GLM-5 model, released as open-source, boasts enhanced coding capabilities and is designed to handle complex, long-running agent tasks, positioning it as a competitor in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Analysts suggest Zhipu AI may be well-placed to navigate current global market uncertainties. The company’s recent performance comes at a time of increased interest in AI development and investment, particularly within the Asia-Pacific region. The Diplomat recently questioned whether Zhipu could emerge as a leading AI stock in 2026, given the wider market volatility.

Zhipu AI’s trajectory highlights the growing strength of Chinese companies in the AI sector and their increasing ability to attract significant capital through public markets. The GLM-5 model’s open-source nature could also foster wider innovation and collaboration within the AI community.
