Iran : Bombardements, Trump refuse tout accord

U.S. and Israel Continue Bombardment of Iran as Trump Demands “Unconditional Surrender”

BEIRUT/TEHRAN – The United States and Israel are continuing their coordinated attacks on Iranian cities, with President Trump stating there will be “no deal” with Iran, only “unconditional surrender.” The escalation of hostilities, which began last Saturday, has resulted in over 1,200 reported deaths in Iran, according to Iranian authorities.

The bombardment extends beyond Iran’s borders, with heavy strikes reported in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon. Hundreds of thousands of residents have been forced to flee their homes as a result of the Israeli offensive.

The situation marks a significant intensification of regional conflict, raising concerns about wider instability. The U.S. has indicated that its “firepower over Iran” will “surge dramatically,” according to recent reports. Trump’s comments suggest a hardline stance against negotiations, a departure from previous diplomatic efforts.

Elsewhere, the Paralympics opening ceremony in Italy saw a boycott from Ukraine and several other European nations, protesting the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes competing under their national flags.

In Hungary, seven Ukrainian citizens have been accused of money laundering and are set to be expelled after authorities discovered two bank vans transporting millions of dollars worth of gold and cash.

Indonesia has announced a ban on social media access for children, joining a growing number of countries considering similar measures.
