Fresh Epstein Files Name Trump, Clinton, Musk and Modi Amid Renewed Scrutiny
WASHINGTON – A new trove of documents released by the U.S. Justice Department relating to the investigations into the late financier Jeffrey Epstein is reigniting scrutiny of his extensive network of associates, including prominent political figures, business leaders and celebrities. The release, mandated by the Epstein Files Transparency Act, continues a process aimed at shedding light on the scope of Epstein’s crimes and the knowledge held by those around him.
The documents, made public on December 19, 2025, detail connections to individuals across the globe, prompting questions and denials, but so far, no accusations of wrongdoing. The release follows years of legal battles and public pressure for transparency surrounding the case.
Epstein, a wealthy financier, was arrested in July 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York. He died by suicide in his jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial, fueling conspiracy theories and intensifying demands for a full accounting of his activities and those he associated with. His previous 2008 plea deal, allowing him a lenient sentence, remains a point of significant controversy.
The newly released files contain thousands of pages of records, including flight manifests, call logs, and emails, offering a glimpse into Epstein’s world and the individuals who frequented it.
Among those named in the documents are former U.S. President Bill Clinton, current U.S. President Donald Trump, and British royal Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Business magnate Elon Musk, founder of L Brands Les Wexner, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also appear in the records. The inclusion of Modi’s name has sparked debate in India, with government officials dismissing any suggestion of impropriety.
“These files are a crucial step towards accountability and transparency,” said Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), a leading advocate for the release of the documents. “The public deserves to know the full extent of Epstein’s crimes and the connections he had to powerful individuals.”
The Justice Department’s release comes after years of legal challenges and a court order compelling the disclosure of the records. The Epstein Files Transparency Act, passed in 2024, specifically mandated the release of these documents to the public.
The files also name several other high-profile individuals, including American film producer Steven Tisch, former UN General Assembly President Miroslav Lajčák, and Indian-American filmmaker Mira Nair. Businessman Anil Ambani has also been linked to Epstein in the released documents.
While the appearance of a name in the files does not imply any wrongdoing, it has prompted renewed calls for investigations and greater scrutiny of those associated with Epstein. Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate and convicted accomplice, is also prominently featured in the released materials.
The ongoing release of the Epstein files underscores the enduring impact of this case and the importance of holding powerful individuals accountable for their actions. The Justice Department has stated that it will continue to release documents as they become available, ensuring that the public has access to the full truth about this disturbing chapter in American history.
