Katie Price’s Whirlwind Marriage and Pregnancy Claim Raise Concerns Among Friends and Family
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – British media personality Katie Price has sparked a flurry of concern among friends and family after announcing a potential pregnancy with her new husband, Lee Andrews, just weeks after a swift wedding in Dubai. The announcement, made via an Instagram post, has been met with skepticism and worry, as sources close to Price reveal a desperate desire for another child and a pattern of impulsive behavior.
Price, 47, a former glamour model and television personality, posted a message declaring she and Andrews “are soon to be three,” accompanied by a pregnant woman emoji. The post appeared to be directed at Andrews’ former partner, Alana Percival, who has publicly accused him of financial deception.
However, friends of Price tell Nouvelles-du-Monde.com that the pregnancy claim is likely false, but the underlying reasons for the announcement are deeply troubling. “She is beyond desperate to have another baby,” said a close friend, speaking on condition of anonymity. “She and Lee have already begun IVF treatment.”
This isn’t Price’s first attempt at IVF. She previously documented her journey with reality star JJ Slater in a Channel 4 documentary, which ultimately ended in heartbreak when the treatment failed.
The situation is further complicated by Price’s existing family. She is mother to five children: Harvey, 23, who lives in residential care due to complex medical needs including septo-optic dysplasia and Prader-Willi syndrome; Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, with ex-husband Peter Andre; and two younger children whose care she has been largely absent from since traveling to Dubai. In 2018, Junior and Princess moved in permanently with Andre due to what sources described as a chaotic home environment.
“This is a time when Katie should be worrying about Junior and Princess, not to mention the others, but instead she is worrying about having another baby,” the friend added. “Surely she wouldn’t be able to cope with a newborn, she looks extremely fragile at the moment and has done for some time.”
The speed of the relationship with Andrews is also raising red flags. Andrews, who claims to be a billionaire and a Cambridge University graduate, proposed to Price at Dubai’s Burj Khalifa – a gesture reportedly identical to one he made to Percival last year. Another former girlfriend, Crystal Janke, claims Andrews planned to propose to her at the same location just weeks before Percival.
“He would have proposed to both of us. Who does that?” Janke told the Daily Mail.
Friends are openly expressing their distrust of Andrews. “We don’t like him,” one pal confided. “Nothing about him makes sense, but nobody can get through to Katie, she won’t be told on this. We don’t think he is a good man. It is a bloody nightmare.”
The situation highlights a broader concern regarding the impact of unstable family dynamics on children. According to a 2021 report by the UK’s Children’s Society, children from separated families are three times more likely to experience emotional and behavioral problems. While Price’s situation is unique, it underscores the importance of stable parenting and consistent care.
Price’s history of public oversharing, often described by friends as an inability to “hold her own water,” has fueled speculation and concern. The current situation, however, appears to be more serious than previous episodes.
“We just don’t know what on earth is going to happen next – and the worry is that it isn’t going to be good,” said the friend.
