The US government has stopped the exhibition of Visa of Categories F, M and J until further notice. This not only meets future students in US universities, but also exchange students, au pairs and interns. The reason for the decision is new guidelines for more precisely the applicant’s review. These people are affected

F-Visa: For pupils and students (F-1) and their relatives (F-2).

M-Visa: For vocational schools and technical schools (M-1 and M-2).

J-VISA: For exchange programs such as Au pairs, “Work and Travel”, internships, research stays and their relatives (J-1 and J-2).
If you already have a confirmed date at a US message and fall under these categories, you can still notice it. New dates for F, M and J-visa are not awarded for the time being, as FOCUS writes online.
There are exceptions

Interview-Waiver-Programme (IWP): If you only extend your existing visa, you often don’t need a conversation – these applications are still possible.

Children under 14 years as well as Seniors from 80 years: Usually no interview is necessary for a visa, provided there are no complications.

Already booked dates Stay valid – however, those affected should check online whether something has changed in the appointment.
