BREAKING: Cheerleader Champion Slane Glover Trades Pom-Poms for the WWE Ring!
ORLANDO, FL – Former Ohio State University cheerleader Slane Glover is embarking on a new career path, trading national cheer titles for a shot at becoming a WWE performer. Glover, a key contributor to the Buckeyes’ UCA National Championships victories in 2023 and 2024, recently transferred to the University of kentucky to continue cheering while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Dialog, graduating in 2026.
Though, the move to Kentucky wasn’t solely academic. Glover explained his transfer was motivated by the university’s participation in the highest competitive division of collegiate cheerleading – a level Ohio State no longer competes in.
Now, Glover is setting his sights on a diffrent kind of performance arena: the WWE. He’s already visited the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, meeting developmental talent, coaches, and even WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. Glover anticipates rigorous physical and mental training as he prepares for a career in professional wrestling.
“The training to become a WWE performer will be a grind – a physical and mental challenge – but Glover is looking forward to it,” the athlete stated.
Fans can potentially catch glimpses of Glover’s growth on WWE programming, including “WWE NXT” on The CW, “WWE LFG” on A&E, and “WWE Evolve” on Tubi, alongside the flagship shows “WWE Monday Night Raw” on Netflix and “WWE Smackdown” on USA Network.
This transition marks a significant shift for the Delray Beach native, who celebrated his cheerleading successes with friends by attending a WWE show at Ohio State’s schottenstein Center. Following graduation, Glover plans to establish himself at the state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center, a multi-million dollar training facility.
