Qatar Reports Injuries After Alleged Iranian Attack
Doha, Qatar – Qatar’s Ministry of Interior announced Sunday it has recorded eight new injuries following what it described as an Iranian attack on the country. The total number of injuries since the start of the alleged attack now stands at 16, accompanied by limited material damage in various locations, according to reports and on-the-ground assessments.
The Ministry stated that security forces and civil defense teams, in coordination with relevant state authorities, immediately initiated procedures in line with approved response plans. These measures aim to ensure public safety, continuity of services, and readiness to deal with any emergency, as part of ongoing monitoring of the situation.
Authorities emphasized that early warning and alert procedures are only activated when additional urgent preventative measures are necessary to protect public safety.
The Ministry of Interior urged the public to immediately comply with official instructions when issued, to remain indoors except for essential needs, and to avoid approaching any unknown objects or debris, reporting them immediately to authorities. Citizens were also asked to allow passage for ambulances, civil defense vehicles, and police patrols, and to avoid going to incident sites.
The Ministry stressed the importance of obtaining information only from official sources and refraining from circulating rumors or publishing images or videos of the aftermath of the alleged attack to avoid legal repercussions.
Security agencies are continuing their work around the clock, in coordination with relevant authorities, to enhance response speed, contain the effects, and ensure community safety.
