For the first time in his career, the Deux-Sévrien Anatole Chaboissant discovers a new volleyball club. He arrived in Loire-Atlantique after the France pole. After two seasons in Nantes, he flies away, relaxed, but happy, to the Paris Volley team.

For his first steps in this new club, the volleyball player will play two preparation matches against Poitiers. If the Paris Volley captain does not play them at home, it’s just like. “This gymnast, I have known him since I was very small, since I was three years old. So it’s a lot of emotion to come back with another club against another team, it brings out a lot of things. It reminds me of a lot of memory”, he says.

It has been five years since anatole Chaboissant had not played in Niort, his first club before becoming a pro. So when the passer and his teammates lend themselves to the game with the young Niortes shoots, necessarily, they send dreams. “It was intense”, Breathe a young boy. “My passion is volleyball, suddenly, playing with professionals, it’s incredible”, said another student.

At 14, he was one of the best French players in his category. A few years later, from the age of 21, the Deux-Sévrien is preparing to start a new season with the Paris Volley, who came to test himself in front of the Alterna Stade Poitevin, before the resumption of the championship. Two friendly matches, where Anatole’s performances are scrutinized closely.

For his new coach Nikola Matijasevic: “He is an extremely intelligent player. He has golden hands, it is the mother who gave him that, because it can be learned very difficult. We can improve it, but to this point no”.

Because among the Chaboissant, volleyball is a family affair! A passion transmitted from one generation to another thanks to a father former club president and a high -level playful mother.“I played at a very high level for 15 years. Everyone tells me that my son took me from me, but he already had talent at the start. Afterwards, he experienced that with the experience of technique”, underlines his mother, Beatrice.

His sister Calypso adds: “At the beginning, we were a little bit at the same level. We were trying to make small competitions between the two of us but there necessarily, he has more boom and he exploded much more than me, but I am really very proud of him”.

Elected best young league player last year, with Nantes-Rezé, Anatole Chaboissant will have to confirm his status, in a renewed Parisian team. “I’m going to have to take play time, experience, because it’s only my third professional season. Progressing in terms of physical condition too, it will be important for me, for the future and to help the team”specifies Anatole.

First test on September 28 for the resumption of the championship, against Plessis-Robinson.
