Tesla starts taking orders for Model 3 in China

                                                            (Reuters) – Tesla has begun taking orders for its Model 3 in China, the world's largest car market, the US electric car maker said on its Chinese website: "Probably deliveries in March, but certainly in April" Tesla's chief executive, Elon Musk, said in response to a question on Twitter about the date of the first shipments to China. The Tesla share was up 1.7% at around 15:50 GMT on Wall Street. the Model 3, a cheaper sedan than the previous models marketed by Tesla, is considered a key factor in the profitability of the American manufacturer. China is already the largest market in the world for electric vehicles and sales are expected to accelerate further. because of the desire shown by the Chinese authorities to achieve 100% electric vehicles in 2030.Tesla signed in July an agreement with the city of Shanghai in to build its first factory outside the United States.
