Renaud Muselier, president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and Jean Rottner, president of the Grand Est propose to financially support the conversion of vehicles from their territory running on gasoline to bioethanol. 10,000 drivers should be concerned in each of the two regions by this help to install an electronic box. At around 0.70 euro a liter of this fuel today, refueling is half the price of gasoline. According to Franceinfo, the aid plan will be released as of 1 January 2019. It will concern "households that use their personal vehicles to go to their place of work within a radius of 30 kilometers round trip. This support will result in the regional authority assuming 50% of the cost of the conversion device within the limit of 250 euros ".
